Lifting & rigging accessories

We have complete lines of deck equipment available for from our Partners CROSBY, FREKHAUG STAL Boss and TRAWLEX. There are thousands of references for shackles, security hooks, swivels, rings, links, connectors, turnbuckle rigging screws, snap shackles … in steel alloy, stainless steel, and special alloys.
Our American Partner CROSBY is without a doubt the best known and most well reputed manufacturer of quality deck and hoisting equipment in the world. CROSBY has developed its own specifications: QUIC-CHECK® (put logo here) is a patented concept developed by CROSBY’s Recherche and Development department and symbolizes the permanent commitment of the CROSBY group to quality. QUIC-CHECK® is markings marquage on classic hoisting products, indicators that point out the strategic locations that make sure of the best and safest use of CROSBY products.

CROSBY offers deck and hoisting equipment in steel and C-Carbon alloys, A-Alloys, SS Stainless Steel, G anti corrosion coating by heat galvanization, zinc paint, mechanical or spray galvanisation, etc … Each year, CROSBY invents new products suitable for all use, even the most specific uses: easy mount dowel bushes and rod ends SB-427 for mobile crane assembly, mooring bush G-517 for the most resistant cables, hoist hooks with coupling rod S-319 SWG for winch cables, safety latch with positive locking PL for the new CROSBY N series hooks, choker hook with latch A-350L for those uses where an intensive use latch is required, sorting hook with handles A-378, weld on hooks BH-313 on mobile cranes and hydraulic shovels, swivel hooks S-3319 for practical uses with synthetic cable, side-pull hoist rings HR-1200 for handling dies and moulds, for use with cable, chain or synthetic rope, snatch blocks for tilt-up wall construction TU-480 by Mc KISSICK available from 27 to 54 tons for 25 to 68 mm cables and sheaves from 408 to 610 mm. |
We are launching the new series of accessories and Class 10 chains, which have 20 to 25% more capacity than that of the Class 8 on the market with CROSBY. They are perfectly designed to resist wear and are tested individually.
Our Norwegian Partner FREKHAUG STÅL AS designs and manufactures stainless steel and alloy deck equipment parts that have high resistance to abrasion and corrosion, in compliance with the most strict standards ASTM 316 (SS 2343), ASTM 329 (SS 2324), S-165M (SS 2387). Since 1955, FREKHAUG STÅL AS profits from the latest technology relative to special steels for creating fittings for fishing (shackles, safety hooks, links, tow-net ring, tube thimble, brailing locks and special boxing hooks for ocean going tuna fishing vessels, trawler cast off, round rings, snap hooks …) for aviation and helicopters as well (swivels and hooks for sea rescue operation…).

Small fittings lexicon:
► Static Load Capacity: the load resulting from constant application of a load or force.
► Safe Working Load (or SWL, or Load Capacity, or Resulting Safe Working Load): the maximum mass or force that the product is able to bear under normal usage conditions when the load is applied in line and according to the central axis of the product, unless otherwise stipulated.
► Working Load Limit: the maximum force that a product is able to bear under general conditions of usage.
► Test Load: the average force applied during a test, the average force that a product can be subjected to with out being deformed.
► Minimum breaking Load: the minimum breaking load is the load or force at which the product breaks or no longer bears the load.
► Impacting Load: force resulting after rapid application of a force (shock or shaking) or rapid displacement of a static load. A load due to a shock increased the static load in a significant manner.
► Stress Test: test carried for the sole purpose of detecting possible material or manufacturing defects.
► Safety Factor: an industry term that describes the mathematical relationship between the maximum breaking load given by the manufacturer and the safe working load of the product. Generally expressed by a rate such as 5 for 1.
► Commercial surface quality: this is the surface conditions of products shown in the catalogue, and those obtained in taking into account the raw material manufacturing processes and machining of the surfaces. Superior surface quality must be special ordered.
► Endurance test: test carried out under the maximum standards of twenty thousand cycles (20,000) at 1.5 times the SWL Safe Working Load. The tests are in conformity with the requirements of the Euronorm standards.
