OLIVEIRA’s activity began in 1825 in the natural rope sector and today manufactures synthetic rope and steel wire rope in two factories. It is one of the world’s oldest companies in this sector of activity.

After six generations, it presently counts over four hundred employees who design and manufacture the best synthetic rope and the best steel wire rope for every imaginable use.  They use BEKAERT quality steel for fishing--a guarantee of performance and longevity; this allows OLIVEIRA to currently be one of the major players in steel wire rope for fishing in the world.

OLIVEIRA carries out stringent quality controls on its products, from the fiber core that it manufactures itself in its factory for manufacturing synthetic rope to the grease that is used-- both in quantity and quality. A rope making company, like any other company, just doesn’t stay in business for almost six centuries if it isn’t good at what it does.

► SUPER YELLOW FIN® galvanized steel wire rope in two versions: 6 x K19 S-CF compacted synthetic core and 6 x K19 S-CWR compacted steel core. Today, the SUPER YELLOW FIN steel wire rope is the worldwide wire leader for tuna fishing in all oceans.

► SUPER ATLANTIC® 6 x K26 SW-CF galvanized steel wire rope in two versions: 6 x K26 SW-CF compacted synthetic core and 6 x K26 SW-CWR compacted steel core; Specially developed for trawlers super-off shore deep sea fishing.

► ZINCAL COMPACT® steel wire rope in two versions: 6 x K26 SW-CF compacted synthetic core and 6 x K26 SW-CWR compacted steel core. This is the new steel wire developed by OLIVEIRA, manufactured in Bezinal® by BEKAERT and covered with a coating of  zinc-aluminium alloy. This coating makes this steel wire rope incredibly resistant to corrosion.

For all other uses other than fishing, we work with important Suppliers with adequate stock at competitive prices. Other unique and registered   constructions well considered: ► NR MAXIPACT® steel wire rope for cranes and ENNELIFT® for elevators; CORONA LINE DW-PET® synthetic rope for anchoring lines of offshore oil platforms, ASTRA LINE® G62 for hawsers.

► Synthetic ropes designed by OLIVEIRA’s technicians are for the most part exclusive and are registered trademarks: Polypropylene TAURUS®, composite DELPHINLINE® and ASTRALINE®, coaxial LIBRALINE® … to the most recent X-TREMA LINE® in Dyneema. All uses are covered: towing, mooring, industrial fishing, including special products for Tuna fishing, farmed fishing, offshore oil operations, etc … OLIVEIRA’s technicians are among the best and have the latest laboratories and  test platforms available.

They can be used in many different ways and in diverse applications such as fishing (maneuvering ropes, mooring ropes, buoy rope for basket trap, fishing line boltrope, trawler, buoy mooring, basket hooks, Sardine fishing vessel tow lead, etc …), the marine (mooring hawsers, mast riggings, etc …), offshore oil platforms and drilling, maritime rescue, marina and high sea towing, fish farming, construction, industry in general, as well as mining and forestry operations…
